Preparing to Start School

Service Description

Education consultant, Sandra of The Parent Chapter and Little Minds, will be joining us at The Canbury Arms to lead a workshop on preparing your little one to start school. We will talk about - Bust the myths around what teachers will/wont expect children to be able to do at the start of reception - The development milestones and how to best support early numeracy & literacy milestones - Understanding how best to manage emotions and behaviour during that first term - Activity ideas and tips for the holidays ​ When to join us Aimed at parents with school starters this September, but parents with little ones from 2.5+years welcome if they want a headstart. Our sessions are interactive, yet relaxed, and babies are welcome to join you (please let us know if you are bringing a little one so we can ensure we set up appropriately).
