Baby Brunch

Becoming a parent can be a strange journey… once your visitors have gone and your partner is back to work, life returns to a new normal - sleep deprivation kicks in, and you have to adjust to shifted priorities and an ever changing schedule.

A strong support network is so important during these times, but it can often seem hard to find. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and segregated - even if you already have a network in the local area, you won’t necessarily be connected to a group of people who can support you through these new life changes.

We know there’s something a little bit scary about putting yourself out there to meet other people, especially on your own…

So where do you start?

Join us for coffee...

Each month we will be bringing parents together in a SW London/Surrey location… you don't have to like coffee, or tea in fact, but you should want to widen your network and meet new friends.

...and Conversation

Our events will provide you with a space to connect with other new parents and share the highs and lows (and all that in-between) of parenting.

Because Wellbeing Matters!

Without doubt, life with a baby can be tough - the sleep regressions, growth spurts and development milestones - you might feel like your every waking hour is spent caring for your baby. As a new parent you have responsibility for the welfare of your new baby but who looks after you?

We bring a select group of wellbeing experts to our events to talk about a range of matters - from postnatal fitness to pelvic health, to relationships and Matrescence. Check out our individual events to see who will be joining us...

FAQs

Who joins Baby Talk events?

  • Our events are not just for mums… dads, grandparents and carers also attend with their little ones

  • Little people of all ages join us (although typically those attending have a baby 0-1 years old) - we ask for little one's age in advance of the event to ensure that we are able to provide the right information, activities and catering so that everyone enjoys their time with us.

Our events are relaxed...

  • Running late? Don’t worry, you can join us after nap time

  • Conversation is driven by you - no sales pitches or formal presentations at our events

Do people really join by themselves?

  • Yes! We encourage you to come alone to meet new friends (we find around half of those attending our events come on their own)

  • We will introduce you to others if you are joining alone or arriving with friends

  • We ask if you know anyone else joining ahead of the event so we can do our best to help get people mingling when they arrive

I have dietary requirements, can I still book a ticket?

Absolutely, we will ask for any dietary requirements when taking pre orders ahead of each event. If you want to discuss these with us in advance, please drop us an email at hello@babytalk.uk

Is there enough space to bring my pram?

Yes - our venues have carefully selected to ensure that there is enough space for everything that comes with being a new parent. It is important to us that you are comfortable, which often means juggle a few things around to ensure that all parents can easily reach their prams.

How many parents attend each of your events?

Typically there are 15 parents at each of our events. We find that this number is perfect for meeting other likeminded parents, but without feeling overwhelmed and cramped.

Do you give out goody bags?

We bring goody bags to some of our events depending on who we are partnering with. We are conscious of what we hand out due to the environmental impact.

Are tickets refundable/transferable

Unfortunately our tickets are not refundable/transferable.
